Lundhags

Lundhags was founded by Jonas Lundhag in 1932 on Frösön in Jämtland. He was a shoemaker with a vision to create truly comfortable boots designed for our Swedish mountain environment, built to last a lifetime – ideally even longer. We have carried on Jonas' legacy, and today, Lundhags manufactures and develops boots, clothing, and backpacks for hiking and outdoor activities, based on the same vision Jonas had.

Our purpose is to inspire people to live a sustainable life in nature and make nature accessible to more people. We do this by inspiring and offering sustainable, durable products that last a long time and can be repaired. We want our products to last for generations.

Hej Främling!

It all started in 2013 at a refugee camp in Grytan, outside Östersund. Three friends wanted to make a difference and invited newly arrived individuals at the camp to a skiing activity. Cycling lessons, choir singing with The Rockin' Pots, and running with Inlöparna followed. The initiative sparked curiosity, and soon more activities were added as more people contributed their time and kindness. Anxiety and uncertainty among the newly arrived turned into community, vitality, integration, and joy. New friendships were formed, and an association, Hej främling!, was born.

From Kalix in the north to Malmö in the south, 10 years later, Hej främling! exists in approximately 50 locations across the country. Our simple idea is the same today as it was then: to invite people to open, health-promoting activities that strengthen individuals and create positive interactions between people. What many find difficult – working with inclusion to break exclusion – is simpler than many think. We are the proof of that.

MatSara

MatSara is one of our most loyal users of the griddle. She is a mother of four and runs Sweden's largest blog dedicated to food allergies, with over a thousand recipes free from milk, eggs, gluten, and soy, among others. As a mother to allergic children herself, she has dedicated her life to improving the diet and lives of allergy sufferers—both her own children and others, young and old. She won the Guldaxet award in 2021 for her work with allergy sufferers and released her first cookbook for allergy-friendly cooking and baking in 2023. We proudly call her our friend and partner. She uses our griddle almost daily and often shares how it has revolutionized their lives. If Sara hasn't cooked it on the griddle, it almost isn't worth cooking.

We of course sell MatSara's book in our webshop, so feel free to check it out along with her website and social media accounts.

Lupus Outdoor

Lupus Outdoor was founded by Kristoffer Olsson in 2019. It is a guiding company born from a love for nature and the adventures it offers. With experience, knowledge, and a genuine passion for what they do, Lupus Outdoor creates extraordinary experiences for individuals and groups with nature at the heart of their offerings. They provide introductory courses on how to harvest and prepare Swedish seaweed and algae, as well as courses and guided tours in alpine skiing and sea trout fishing.

Our collaboration began in 2023, driven by a shared interest in nature, quality ingredients, cooking, and experiences. Together, we share healthy and delicious recipes based on seaweed and algae. We look forward to offering exciting courses combining seaweed harvesting and outdoor cooking. In these courses, participants will learn about easy-to-pick, delicious seaweed varieties and where, how, and when to harvest them most sustainably. Using these ingredients, we also discuss how seaweed and algae can be incorporated into cooking, and participants will learn to cook on a griddle. We end the day by preparing meals together using freshly harvested seaweed.

Feel free to read more about Lupus Outdoor on their website.
